PhilaCare replaces cash remittances with a secure, coordinated pipeline linking sponsors, medical reviewers, logistics, and partner pharmacies.
Register & Upload
Sponsor signs up in the portal, adds the dependent's details, and uploads a copy of the chronic medication prescription.
Review & Verification
Licensed reviewers verify the prescription for validity, correctness, and item availability in our formulary within 24 hours.
Consent Capture
We request consent from the patient in Zimbabwe via SMS or USSD. In accordance with data protection acts, no orders are processed until explicit consent is recorded.
Subscription Lock
Sponsor payments occur between Days 1–18 of the month. On Day 19, the cycle locks. Procurement and consolidated distribution to pharmacies are executed between Days 20–27.
Secure Collection
On Day 1, the patient is notified with a secure one-time collection PIN. They present this PIN at a partner retail pharmacy to redeem and collect their medication.
Adherence Check-in
72 hours post-collection, patients receive an automated SMS requesting simple status confirmation. Sponsors view the adherence status live in their dashboard.
